So, I was bored again and noticed I got my hands on Rena-Chan's raw before any other scanlation groups posted their version of this (that I've seen). I think it came out pretty well, but I must admit I didn't even bother trying to fill in the gap on the double-page spread for pages 10 and 11 because I know I couldn't make it look good with my current cloning/redrawing skills. Let your imagination fill in the gap! :p

ReplyDeleteBy the way, since Enigma is having problems and nobody is expecting AQS to catch up, you may get a lot of traffic for a while since nobody else seems to be doing Negima for the moment.
Glad you liked it! I normally read Enigma's scans myself as they generally do a fine job, but the fact I heard there was some problems there and I didn't see anything from them is one reason I went ahead and did this chapter. It was a pretty quick chapter anyways, since there wasn't a lot of redrawing for thoughts or attack names.
ReplyDeleteI've considered applying to a group doing the series to help out, but for the moment my schedule is too unpredictable to really commit to a consistent editing time. Still, if it seems no one is really taking this series I'll either try to do what I can on my own as I have been, or consider joining a group to help them out (if they'll accept me ;).

ReplyDeleteI was most likely going to do 267 (assuming no other groups do a good quality scan), but I really hate working with the raw-paradise scans (working with anything smaller than 2500 pixel height is a pain to clean). Rena-Chan's 3000 px raws are so much better for getting a good-looking result. ;)
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, she doesn't usually finish scanning Negima until Friday sometime, so I can't start cleaning them.
Thanks so much, I've been waiting for this. And it certainly is impressive for a 1-man job after the trans! Hopefully you'll be able to take up the slack that all the other groups are leaving. Although it's weird that nobody is doing it because it's been getting so much more interesting in the past couple tens of chapters.
